Sunflowers by Van Gogh (Kindergarten)

Designing sunflowers in art.

Students in kindergarten listened to a book that was read to them called "Van Gogh and the Sunflowers" by Laurence Anholt.  We looked at a few of Vincent Van Gogh's paintings and then we had a chance to create our own brilliant sunflowers.
Kindergarten students painted with tempera paint large sunflowers across their paper.

Crayons and markers were used for detail elements on the flowers.

Sometimes scratching your head helps with creativity! ;)

Beautiful sunflowers!

Brilliant colors!
